In 2010, the Ukrainian Institute contacted us for a quote after they received a summons for a Local Law 11 sidewalk violation. After years of review, we went into contract with the Ukrainian Institute to replace the cracked and damaged bluestone on the sidewalk, with new bluestone.  There were several challenges, including the bus stop on 5th Avenue, the deteriorating vault below ground, working with NYC Landmarks and the Building Department to make certain the newly installed sidewalk and vault repairs would comply with NYC Landmark and DOB requirements. Ultimately Rand Engineering was brought in to supervise and assist in bringing the project to its successful completion after 5 years!
